V. V. Rosanov as Alter ego in “Endless Deadlock” of D. E. Galkovsky

Article deals with the mode of interpetation of heritage of V. V. Rosanov in the context of late Soviet epoch, undertaken in the literary-philosophical novel of D. E. Ghalkovsky “Endless deadlock”. Within complex ramified structure of his work Galkovsky presents himself as a new Rosanov who engages in a conversation with the key players of his literature-centered proprietary universe. According to Galkovsky, questions prophetically posed in Rosanov’s literary work, demand an answer to enable way forward and departure from the from the anti-Russia project that has been realized in the 20th century. In Galkovsky’s appropriation of Rosanov addressed are key topics of death, religion, fate of Russia, fatherhood, and sexuality. “Endless deadlock” aims to implement the reset to the pre-Soviet settings on behalf of the reader and thus may be viewed as practical implication of the rhetorical turn within the Russian literary environment.
