Socio-Economic Imbalances and Their Impact on Human Resource Reproduction in the Regions of Uzbekistan

This article examines socioeconomic imbalances in regional development and their impact on human resource reproduction. It is shown that differences in income, employment, infrastructure, and access to social services directly impact fertility, mortality, and migration. A correlation analysis across Uzbekistan’s regions revealed strong positive and negative relationships between demographic and economic indicators. The role of environmental factors as an additional risk to reproductive health is highlighted. Based on international experience, approaches to reducing imbalances through fiscal equalization, investment, and place-based policies aimed at strengthening human potential are proposed.
