The First International Forum "Siberia in a Strategic Civilizational Turnaround: Global and Regional Dimensions"

Abstract

This issue of the journal "Respublica Literaria" presents articles that expand on some of the Forum participants' reports. We hope they will be useful and interesting to our readers. A collection of Forum materials, "Siberia in a Strategic Civilizational Turn: Global and Regional Dimensions," can be found on the website of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as on the website of the scientific electronic library.

The "Reviews" section of this issue presents articles highlighting the results of comprehensive scientific research in Siberia and the Far East, published in the following monographs: "Asian Russia: Demography, Ethnic Composition of the Population, and Interethnic Relations in the Context of the Turn to the East"; "Siberia and Siberians: Ethnocultural Identity of Russians and Other East Slavic Peoples in Siberia (19th – Early 21st Centuries)"; and "Russia at the Crossroads of Spaces and Times (An Experiment with a Synthetic Civilizational Approach)."
