Abstract

The review analyzes the monograph written by the collective of sociologists B. S. Pavlov, G. M. Gogiberidze, A. V. Patsula “Current models of state and regional policy in the field of patriotic education”. The research presented in the monograph, provides a theoretical analysis of the essence, nature and genesis of patriotic education, reveals the content, the role and features of patriotic education in society, considers the state and regional policy as the foundation and means of patriotic education, determines priority directions of state and regional policy in this sphere. It is valuable that the authors explore alternative functional models of patriotic education, conceptually profile and empirically specify the integrative model of patriotic education.
